In the first half of this year, Vietnam exported US $ 1.64 billion of plastic products, down about 1% from the same period last year.
According to statistics of the General Department of Customs show that Vietnam's plastic products exported abroad in June reached US $ 289.7 million, up 7% over the same period in 2019. In the first 6 months, its export turnover reached US $ 1.64 billion, down slightly by 0.9% over the same period.
Most of the export of these products to other markets decreased, in which the market dropped sharply in India such as 56% to 16.9 million USD; Hong Kong decreased 51% to reach 29 million USD; Bangladesh decreased by 50% to nearly 3 million USD.
In contrast, exports still increased significantly in some countries such as Ukraine, up 69% to reach 2.13 million USD; Switzerland increased by 33% to USD 1.24 million.
In terms of proportion, Vietnam's plastic exports to the US accounted for the most, accounting for over 26% of total export turnover of this group of the country, reaching over 429 million USD, up 49% over the same period last year.
